چکیده

We report Gold/Silica biochips for low cost biosensor devices. Firstly, the study of biochemical interactions on silica by means of Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) is presented. Secondly, Gold/Silica biochips are employed to reduce the strong quenching that occurs when a fluorophore is close to the gold surface. Furthermore, the control of the Silicalike thickness allows optimizing the distance between the metallic surface and the fluorophore in order to enhance the fluorescent signal. These results represent the first steps towards highly sensitive, specific and low cost biosensors based, for example, on Surface Plasmon Coupled Emission (SPCE) techniques. # To whom correspondence should be sent Tel.: +33 3 81 85 39 59 Fax: +33 3 81 85 39 98 email: [email protected] ha l-0 04 46 99 9, v er si on 1 13 J an 2 01 0 Author manuscript, published in "Laser Physics 19, 2 (2009) 252-58" DOI : 10.1134/S1054660X09020170

Comparing signal amplification of thiocyanated Gold nanoparticles in the presence of different ions

Detecting is the most important section in all kinds of sensors. In this regard, the amplification of surface plasmon resonance intensity of gold colloids nanoparticles (GNPs) was studied in the presence of several ions. GNPs were synthesized and then capped by thiocyanate and characterized via DLS and TEM image. In the next step the effect of different concentrations of ions such as iron, copp...

Fluorescence Quenching of Alpha-Fetoprotein by Gold Nanoparticles: Effect of Dielectric Shell on Non-Radiative Decay

Fluorescence quenching spectrometry was applied to study the interactions between gold colloidal nanoparticles and alpha-fetoprotein (AFP). Experimental results show that the gold nanoparticles can quench the fluorescence emission of adsorbed AFP effectively. Furthermore, the intensity of fluorescence emission peak decreases monotonously with the increasing gold nanoparticles content. A mechani...

Hydrogen sensing by localized surface plasmon resonance in colloidal solutions of Au-WO3-Pd

Nowadays, hydrogen has attracted significant attention as a next generation clean energy source. Hydrogen is highly flammable, so detection of hydrogen gas is required. Gold nanoparticle based localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) is an advanced and powerful sensing technique, which is well known for its high sensitivity to surrounding refractive index change in the local environment. We p...
